Mexican Gold Corp. (CVE:MEX, FRA:4QW1) – Keeps On Extending Its High-Grade Gold
This morning Mexican Gold released the final assays of its 2017 program. . .
The results focused on the Eastern extent of El Dorado/Juan Bran, where the Dike Contact has only seen one drill hole in the past.
Currently, the west contact zone has been outlined for over 360 meters along strike. Today’s assays outline high-grade mineralization on the east contact zone over a strike distance of 140 meters with both east and the west zones remain open along strike for expansion.
All holes returned significant mineralization – Including 7.86 g/t AuEq (3.91 g/t Au, 5.93 g/t Ag, 2.36% Cu) over 18.0 meters.
These high-grade drill results will significantly expand the projects resources and increase the grade.
The Dike in itself is has minimal mineralization, but the recent concentration of drilling along the high-grade Contact has confirmed a new geological model and the possibilities of Las Minas.
For example, Cinco Senores has seen limited drilling in the past. Yet the model suggests that the Dike extends all the way from El Dorado/Juan Bran.
Two holes have already gone through the Dike itself, and MEX is currently reviewing the data to find the Contact.
Just so you know, all of the Las Minas project is littered with Dikes and historical workings that confirm the Contact thesis.
And in addition to expanding the current resource and grades, Mexican Gold plans on drilling Cinco Senores and Las Minillas this year.
We reiterate, Mexican Gold’s Las Minas always had multi-million-ounce potential.
But it looks like it will also have high grade resources too.
